Come enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs and the big game - with a devotional time at half-time! No other activities that night – just the game in the fellowship hall.  This event is for everyone 6th grade and up.  No supervision for younger children will be provided – and no other classrooms will be used.   Pastor  Mullins is looking for interested adults/youth who will help put this event together.  There is help needed for food , set-up and clean-up. S’gonna be a FUN  night of Christian fellowship & outreach while enjoying the big football game, good food and time with the Lord. Thursday, February 18 Winter Jam in Roanoke Roanoke Civic Center Cost: $10 at the door Winter Jam Line-Up: Third Day, Newsboys, Newsong, Tenth Ave. North, Fireflight, Sidewalk Prophets, Robert Pierre, Revive, and Tony Nolan. Meet at WBC to leave by 3:30pm. Will stop for fast food on the way. Doors open at 5:30pm. Pre-show is at 6:20pm. Concert begins at 6:55. Concert ends approximately 10:20pm - to be back at WBC between 11:30 and 12:00. Bring $10 for the concert; $ for fast food dinner; and any extra spending money (optional) for souvenirs or concessions. [ I know this is a school night. We can’t control when these big concert events are planned. Since you know the date ahead of time - you can try to get extra school work or homework done ahead of time. You can also do homework/study together on the bus as we travel to the concert. You can also rest/sleep on the bus ride up and back as well. These are just thoughts to help you - if you want to go.] Other adult volunteers are needed to drive & chaperone. I will pay the $10 concert fee for those adult drivers. Pick up a permission slip from Jennifer or in the youth room for this event - when you sign up to go. Sign up for this event by or before February 6th.  Yes - you may invite friends - but same deadlines apply. Friday, March 12 Higher Ground Lock-In/Out Times -- 9:35pm - 7:30am Cost: $10.00 - because we will be doing some fun activities in different places. The night will include awesome worship, devotional time, pizza, refreshments, outings, games, movies and fun! Sign up for this event will be by or before February 21st.  Adults: I will need drivers/chaperones for this event. Sunday, May 16 Higher Ground Graduate & Youth Sunday Theme: Mark 12:30 (WOV folks - we will sing a few of our "Made to Worship" songs.) (We will have a Youth Sunday run-through practice on the Wednesday before - February 24th - 6:30-8:00pm and everyone will need to be there.) Our traditional Higher Ground will not meet the night of the Ice-skating, Super Bowl, or March 14 (the Sunday night after Lock-in).
